Gesellschaft für Simulatorschulung (GfS)

from 12.03.2001 to 31.12.2015

The "GfS" is a training school for the German and Dutch nuclear power plants. It has a lot of simulators of each nuclear plant. After the accident of Fukushima, Japan, in 2011 the German government decided to close all the nuclear power plants to the year 2022. But the oldest had to close immediately. Due to this action the company had to reduce their manpower, too.

From 2001 to 2008 I worked in the office for drawing up of industruction materials

I worked with serveral pc-programs (with an educational requirements of Wordperfect 5.1 and 9), finally with MS Word. The drawing up consist of 2 to 130 pages. I worked with macros, tables, pictures, chemical notation and notes (short information that was seprated into a yellow box with a macro).

From 2008 to 2015 I was working in the in-house library.

I administrated myself as the only person the in-house library. At the request of myself I changed there. My tasks were:

In the beginning of my work in 2008 I changed the old system of index cards into a MS Access database. The magazines that they were inserting onto a paper, I changed into a MS Excel data sheet. Every magazine was in a separate table that was connected with a link of contents and a link to the website to the Internet.

From 2013 to 2015 I founded the in-house archive

  1. Scanning the old documents with a scanner into a PDF-file
  2. Handling of pdf-files with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  3. Saving the files onto a dvd
  4. Registration the dvd into ELO for lending it
